We want to ensure that every clinician and care professional has the opportunity to hear what the Partnership is doing and the chance to shape that work.
The recent government announcement to increase funding for the NHS by an average of 3.4% per year over the next 5 years comes as welcome news. The Prime Minister is keen to ensure that as the additional money becomes available that it is spent wisely and effectively. She wants local clinicians to be at the heart of the STP; designing, deciding and delivering plans for the most pressing local priorities facing our patients and workforce.
The Humber, Coast and Vale Clinical Advisory Group (CAG) brings together clinical leaders from different localities, sectors and professions to collate and distil the different plans into one overarching service and workforce strategy. You can learn more about the CAG and who is part of the group on the website.
We meet every month to consider different key work programs that have a clinical focus. This month we have been considering the Partnership capital bids, the mental health strategy and a session on workforce with input from Health Education England and Hull York Medical School
Going forward we want to ensure that every clinician and care professional working within the Humber, Coast and Vale Health and Care Partnership has the opportunity to hear what the Partnership is doing but, more importantly, also has the chance to input into and shape that work. We will share the work of the Clinical Advisory Group (CAG) but specifically would ask that you consider connecting with one or more members of the CAG who are leading on areas of work that are of particular interest to you personally.
