There are many reasons to be positive about this Partnership and what it has achieved already.
This week’s blog comes from Andrew Burnell, Humber, Coast and Vale Partnership Lead and Chief Executive, City Health Care Partnership CIC.
I am really excited to be taking on the role as Interim Lead for the Humber, Coast and Vale Health and Care Partnership at this time. There are many reasons to be positive about this Partnership and what it has achieved already and, more importantly, what we are set to achieve over the coming months and years. Since we first established ourselves as a group of organisations, some of whom had never worked together in the past, we have become a strong partnership with a sense of shared ownership and desire to collaborate and improve the health and wellbeing of our local populations.
I would like to thank Simon for his efforts over the past 12 months in leading the Partnership and helping us to make progress on a number of key agendas and wish him all the best for his retirement.
The Partnership has achieved a great deal over the past few months: our estates strategy has been commended by national teams; we submitted a Partnership Digital Investment Case that is enabling us to draw down £2.5million of investment this year to support digital transformation; and we have built a strong coalition behind our workforce agenda, including introducing new roles into our local health economy – so far this year we have trained and recruited 65 new Advanced Clinical Practitioners and 41 Physicians Associates. These are just a few of the highlights of the work we are doing across Humber, Coast and Vale. In addition, work on local collaborations is continuing at pace.
In Hull and East Riding we have been working together over the past few months to develop our proposals for our Integrated Care Partnership (ICP). This has been really rewarding work that has required us to reaffirm our commitment to collaboration for the benefit of our communities. I am looking forward to hearing about the work to develop Integrated Care Partnerships (ICPs) across the patch at our upcoming Partnership Event. I hope to see many of you there and share your ideas and views about where we need to go next as a Partnership.
