These are testing times for us both individually and collectively - we must lean on our partnerships and relationships to ensure we can get through the coming weeks and months
As we enter another week of uncertainty for many, I wish to continue to reiterate my message of thanks and encouragement to all of you working together on the frontline of our country’s efforts to tackle Covid-19.
These are testing times for us both individually and collectively. We must lean on our partnerships and relationships to ensure we can get through the coming weeks and months.
Our Partnership in Humber, Coast and Vale is built on firm foundations: we have strong relationships and a shared sense of purpose, to do the best by our population. These relationships will stand us in good stead over the coming weeks and months.
The Partnership Office is continuing to work quietly in the background to coordinate meetings and support joint working wherever it can add value to the system’s response to Covid-19. We will continue to be flexible and adapt our approach to the needs of the system.
Many of you will face the additional challenge today of caring for children at home who would normally be in school. Others amongst you will be asking your children to continue to go to school while most of their classmates and friends stay home. In some of our teams, individuals are making incredible sacrifices and staying away from their families so that they can continue to serve in our frontline services. Once again, I say thank you to all of you.
We cannot forget that this is a difficult and unnerving time for our nation’s children, as it is for all of us. It is important that we remember the impact of staying at home on ours and our children’s mental health and wellbeing and do all that we can to stay well. One of our local MIND organisations has put together some hints and tips on taking care of your health and wellbeing whilst staying at home.
Supporting and improving our population’s mental health and wellbeing is a key priority of the Humber, Coast and Vale Health and Care Partnership and this work will continue throughout these uncertain times.
